Vilsack OKs ban on human cloning (Jonathan Roos, Des Moines Register, 4/27/2002)
Democratic governor Tom Vilsack has signed a bill outlawing human cloning in Iowa. Iowa joins California, Louisiana, Michigan, Rhode Island, and Virginia in having such a ban. Unfortunately, the bill did not also ban embryonic stem cell research, but it's a start.
