I love my country (which is a different thing from idolizing my country). Today we celebrate its birth. We are a nation founded on the self-evident truths "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." The Government's job is to "secure these rights." Many men have fought and died to secure these rights, and continue to do so today. I am free because of them, as are many other people throughout the world.
To continue to be a truly blessed nation, we must be a people whose God is the Lord. (Psalm 33:12.) Praise God for His Liberty, His Provision, and His Saving me from the just fruits of my condition through the sacrifice of his one and only begotten Son, Jesus.
